The Inventory Receive Process Explained
How you can improve your warehouse’s receive process
Warehouses see a lot of foot traffic and activity everyday, which makes very important that your daily inventory receive process goes smoothly. This is to ensure that your warehouse inventory is always accounted for and your operations run efficiently. You can make sure your receiving dock is never clogged up with our warehouse inventory systems, reducing delays in your warehouses.
Our Warehouse Management Systems gives businesses the opportunity to streamline the Inventory Receive process. With this feature, users can receive 4 different types of warehouse inventory and choose the location for each item for effective inventory management.
Where to Receive Inventory?
Set Up Predefined or Default Locations
We understand the complexity that comes with warehouse operations and the receiving process when it comes to inventory. With our feature, you can receive inventory items in our systems to predefined or default locations. By setting up predefined locations this way, you cut down on a chunk of manual tasks. Instead of painstakingly entering a location over and over again in your warehouse management workflows, our systems automatically provide you with a list of locations that are predefined by you that you can choose from.
We took into account the possibility that there might be some items that are always received to a specific location each time. For cases like that, you can set a default location for certain inventory stock so whenever you receive and scan those items in the future, our systems will auto-populate the default location.
Precise Warehouse Inventory Management
Our systems include a variety of units of measurement
When entering an inventory item into our systems, we made it easy for you to record every detail necessary. That’s why we included a Unit of Measurement field in our Receive Inventory feature. This helps you accurate track inventory turnover rates to optimize stock levels. Here are some units of measurement that can be included when you receive inventory:
- Quantity
- Volume
- Length
- Weight
